Daniel O’Donnell confirmed for BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing
He said: ‘Strictly Come Dancing is an incredible show.
He will join a line-up that includes Jeremy Vine, Ainsley Harriott, Carol Kirkwood, Katie Derham, Kellie Bright, Georgia May Foote, Peter Andre and Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell.
Peter has enjoyed success as a singer with hits Mysterious Girl and Flava, and competed on the third series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
But his Mrs Doubtfire role won’t be sticking for long – he’ll soon be slipping on his sequins and getting stuck into the Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals.
She told BBC Breakfast: “I can’t believe this at all”.
The 13th series of Strictly Come Dancing begins on BBC1 in September. He revealed he is a huge fan of the show and has been asked to take part in the Christmas special several times, but has always been too busy touring.
Another posted: “I don’t mean any offence but don’t you need to be moving on your boxing career now you are fit than do Strictly?”
The father-of-three made sure to point out that his previous experience as a performer will not guarantee he wins the coveted glitterball trophy.
“How do we know the weather lady doesn’t go home and underneath her weather costume is sparkles and she is unbelievable?” he asked.
Novelties and politics trader for Betfair, Cormac Dowling, said: “Despite only half of this year’s contestants having been confirmed, we’ve already seen a huge amount of support for 9/2 favourite Peter Andre“.
“Besides, Floyd Mayweather did the US version of Strictly whilst training for his fight versus Ricky Hatton and he’s gone on to be an global star!”
