Daniel Sturridge In, Jose Enrique Out – Liverpool Confirm Europa League Squad List
Jose Enrique was expected to leave Liverpool this summer but, having chosen to stay and fight for his place in the final year of his contract, the left-back has now been included in the Reds’ Premier League squad for 2015/16.
Here’s the squad in full: Simon Mignolet, Adam Bogdan; Nathaniel Clyne, Joe Gomez, Kolo Toure, Dejan Lovren, Alberto Moreno, Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel; Lucas Leiva, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Emre Can, Joe Allen, Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino; Divock Origi, Danny Ings, Daniel Sturridge, Christian Benteke.
“They’re desperate for [Daniel] Sturridge to have an injury-free season as he holds a lot of the keys as to how Liverpool will do”, he told the Daily Mail. For Benteke and Sturridge to have good seasons, a lot is going to have come from Coutinho.
The striker enjoyed an impressive start to his Liverpool career after joining from Chelsea, going on to form a deadly partnership with Luis Suarez as they finished as runners-up in the Premier League the season before last.

Liverpool’s lineups will have a familiar look and feel when it competes in the 2015-16 UEFA Europa League.
“Before then you just want to try and keep your league position as strong as possible while trying to get through the group stages”.
Clubs are allowed to register a 25-man squad with UEFA for European competition, but four of those players much count as home-grown-that is, players who have been trained by an English club-and a further four must be club-trained. Visit www.mcdonalds.co.uk/CelebrateBetter for more information.
