Dark Souls 3 coming April 2016
The Day One Edition available in the US will include Dark Souls III software, a starter guide, an official soundtrack and exclusive O-Sleeve packaging, the flexible case that is open on both ends.
Publisher Bandai Namco has confirmed that the game will arrive on PS4, PC and Xbox One on April 12.
Dark Souls III will appear in North and South America and Europe a little less than a month after its March 24 debut in Japan.
The new Dark Souls 3 gameplay trailer, released in time for the PlayStation Experience 2015, showcases some sequences that have never been shown before. It looks like you’ll be able to get the game in one of three special ways when it comes out on April 12 if you live in the United Kingdom, or one of two if you’re in North America.
The DARK SOULS III Day One Edition is priced at $59.99.
First off, the Apocalypse Edition will be available as a bonus for pre-ordering the game (it’s available exclusively at GAME in the UK).
While the video does a good job showing off the improved swordplay in Dark Souls 3, fans will have to wait and see what From Software’s promise of a greater world scope entails, as the trailer features mostly enclosed or narrow areas.
The biggest, baddest version of all is the Prestige Edition, which is exclusive to Amazon UK. It will include everything from the European collector’s edition, as well as a 40cm tall Lord of Cinder, hand-painted, resin statue. Players can invade each other’s games to attack or help fellow adventurers.
