Darth Vader Rumored To Appear In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
The legendary James Earl Jones is said to come back to voice the character too.
The website Making Star Wars reported these allegation, which could be spoilery if true.
According to dedicated behind-the-scenes fansite MakingStarWars.com (who previously predicted the entire storyline of The Force Awakens with near-perfect accuracy) Darth Vader himself could be making an appearance in 2016’s anthology film Rogue One: a Star Wars Story, which is set prior to the events of the original 1977 Star Wars. The Darth Vader we all know from the original Star Wars film is effectively back in look, voice, and spirit.
So, Lucasfilm and Disney are setting their Star Wars stall out in a similar way to Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Vader’s body is a harder issue to settle, since the 80-year-old David Prowse can’t portray his body anymore – and they probably couldn’t get away with having Hayden Christensen try again. They went on to reveal that Darth Vader’s costume in A New Hope has been “meticulously recreated to match A New Hope perfectly”.
While this is absolutely nothing more than a rumour at the moment, we’re totally getting our New Hopes up.
It is unknown what type of role Darth Vader may have in “Rogue One”.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be an interesting step for the Star Wars franchise.
Not much in terms of how much Vader will be featured in the film, but the rumor suggests, he’ll be a “prominent player in a few scenes a something to fear for the heroes”.
Given that the film takes place prior to A New Hope, and deals with the Rebels’ efforts to steal the Death Star plans, it makes sense that Disney would want to incorporate the most iconic villain in the saga.
