Dave Grohl responds to 1000 Italian fans after their Foo Fighters video
The video from the Rockin’ 1,000 went live on Thursday and has racked up over 11 million views since being uploaded.
In the video below, Grohl essentially said hello to the town of Cesena and apologized for his lack of speaking Italian, but he did great considering his pronunciations were spot on.
“I am sorry I don’t speak Italian, just a bit, a bit”. He decided, the best way to persuade the band is by having 1,000 fans play together a Foo Fighters’ hit song.
“Hi Cesena, I’m David”. Thank you! We are coming. “We’ll see each other soon”.
Organizers sorted through thousands of videos to determine who would make the final cut of 350 guitarists, 250 singers, 250 drummers and 150 bassists.
The event was originally organized by Fabio Zaffagnini, a Foo Fighters superfan who wanted to do something spectacular to convince the rock band to perform in the Italian city. Thank you so much.
Dave Grohl wants his daughters to form a band like three-piece girl group Haim but reckons they will be reluctant to “jam” with their famous father.
“Total f***ing bulls**t. Of course, I’d love to come back and play Glastonbury but don’t believe everything you read”.
