David Beckham stars in first fashion short film for Belstaff
It will have a worldwide release on September 22.
“Outlaws” will debut following Belstaff’s London Fashion Week show on Sept 21.
David Beckham, soccer champ and underwear enthusiast, is now a leading man. He will star in the fashion film Outlaws, written and directed by Geremy Jasper and presented by Belstaff, a clothing label under which Beckham has a line of luxury leather jackets.
The 40-year-old hunk donned biker leathers for the film, titled “Outlaws”, in which he plays a motorcycle stuntman haunted by a attractive trapeze artist and said making the mini-movie was an “adventure” he’ll always remember. He gets involved in a chase for the circus director, Vogue reported.
Although David is no stranger to the camera – he has already featured in video adverts for brands including H&M, this marks the first time he has starred in a fashion film.
If having superstar David in the film wasn’t enough, Liv Tyler, who welcomed a baby with David’s best friend Dave Gardner, executive produced it.
The father-of-four proudly shared the short clip, filmed on location in Mexico, with his 52 million Facebook followers. “They came to me with the idea to do a short film and the idea of working wth Harvey and Katherine – it was a given that we were going to do this“.
The full film isn’t out until September 22 so you’ll have to wait until then to see Beck’s acting skills in all their glory.
The brand has an ongoing relationship with Beckham who has appeared in its ad campaigns, and who has designed two collections for Belstaff, whose origins are in off-road motorcycle sports. He was shot by famous photographer Peter Lindbergh in Buckinghamshire, England.
