David Bowie’s Last Album Sales Soar
Iman is “holding up” after David Bowie‘s death on Sunday (01.10.16) following a secret 18-month battle with cancer.

The iconic singer’s death comes just days after the release of his 29th album, Blackstar, which coincided with his 69th birthday on January 8.

A midweek update from the charts company has revealed that “Blackstar” is now holding its own on the number one spot, while albums including his 2014 release “Nothing Has Changed” (currently sat at number seven), are also set to feature in the final countdown.
While David’s family have not gone into detail about his illness, director Ivo van Hove, who he worked with on his stage show “Lazarus”, claimed he died from liver cancer.
He was desperate to live so he could see his 15-year-old daughter Alexandria grow up, but knew he was dying and that the cancer would kill him.
“I was trying to think of something amusing to say, but it wouldn’t come out right”, Fallon admitted.
The awesome artist’s producer, Tony Visconti, told Rolling Stone on Wednesday that the singer had actually been planning on releasing another album prior to his death.
“It was very unusual”, van Hove said of trying to convey Bowie, who co-wrote the theatrical piece, and his intentions.
“Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory”, the first of three said. “But he told me privately, and I really got choked up when we sat face to face talking about it”.
