David Duchovny criticises Hollywood for gender pay gap
The 47-year-old star, who returns as special agent Dana Scully after an absence of 14 years, says she was initially offered only half the salary of co-star David Duchovny, who plays her alien-chasing Federal Bureau of Investigation partner Fox Mulder.
The X-Files miniseries is the continuation of the American science fiction horror drama television series The X-Files, created by Chris Carter, which originally aired for nine seasons from 1993 to 2002 on Fox.
As well as returning stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, familiar faces include Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner, Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes and William B Davis as the Smoking Man, plus Frohike, Langley and Byers, aka the original Lone Gunmen.

Because honestly, we’re going to sit here and get asked this question all day long for the rest of our lives and we don’t have a f–ing clue. “I think we should be paid the same to do “The X-Files”, Duchovny said.
Paige Tillinghast, senior English major, said she hopes that these next four episodes will bring a ideal balance of classic and modern, while making sure to tie up any loose ends. “But I’ll leave it as a question: are we done, are we not?”
