David Gilmour reveals new album ‘Rattle That Lock’
He has followed through on his promise – listen to “Rattle That Lock” in the above video. The “David Gilmour Live 2016″ concert will take place in March and April with stops in Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago and New York, and ticket buyers will be among the first ones to receive his album.
PINK Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has released a song inspired by the familiar SNCF jingle heard at railway stations all over France. In support of the album, Gilmour will embark on a tour, marking his first US shows in a decade.
Gilmour will play limited tour dates in 2016, starting with 10 Eurpoean dates, which have sold out, and North American dates which are listed below.
The new single, also titled “Rattle That Lock“, features The Liberty Choir and singers Mica Paris and Louise Marshall.
The album will become available for pre-orders beginning July 17, the same day the title track is released as a single. Gilmour’s last effort On An Island was unbelievable and struck me nearly immediately, I’m hoping for the same from Rattle That Lock.
Gilmour recently detailed his new solo album, also titled “Rattle That Lock“, which will be released on September 18. While it doesn’t sound all that much like classic Pink Floyd, the dramatic groups-sung refrains and cloud-scraping arena-rock guitar solo are sure to please fans of the Gilmour’s band.
