David Lynch Shares New “Twin Peaks” Teaser
The network released a new teaser trailer for the David Lynch drama, which originally aired on ABC from 1990 to 1991 and is now set to return as a limited series on the cabler in 2017. Check it out here… The new season of the revolutionary 1990s crime series brings back co-creators Mark Frost and David Lynch, with Lynch directing all episodes. Kyle MacLachlan will reprise his role as FBI Agent Dale Cooper. The new series is now in production. What we get is some behind-the-scenes footage of actor Michael Horse (“Hawk”) discussing returning to the series over imagery of the familiar Twin Peaks scenery… and a closing shot that, if part of the actual show, hints that things are still quite risky in the not so sleepy town, via a blurry look at a grey-haired figure.
The cult favorite followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. As Cooper conducted his search for Laura’s killer, the town’s secrets were gradually exposed. The video then takes a decidedly Twin Peaks-style twist; following all of this gorgeous imagery, we hear some creepy music-even by Twin Peaks standards-as the image of a person is obscured.
