DC is quiet, but the zoo’s panda is out making snow angels
Tian Tian, the Giant Panda at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. woke up to the blizzard news much like every kid out there this Saturday.
Keepers caught adorable footage of the 19-year-old giant panda rolling around in the 13 inches of snow that covered the area.
While most D.C. residents hunkered down to ride out the storm, at least one was having the time of his life. Bei Bei, born in August, was more cautious, the zoo said.
Doesn’t it make you want to make snow angels with this cute bear?
The Smithsonian Zoo posted this photo on Instagram with the caption, “BeiBei had his first introduction to snow today!”
Washington D.C. was slammed with two feet of snow.
The zoo is expected to stay closed through Sunday due to the weather but it appears Tian Tian is content to play on his own.
