De Gea Madrid move ‘finalised after Keylor Navas agrees to United switch’
Manchester United have agreed to sell David De Gea to Real Madrid for £29million, with Keylor Navas expected to head the other way. After the drafting of the relevant contractual documents required and in order to proceed with sufficient time to process both the Federation Internationale de Football Association Transfer Matching System (TMS) entry time and LFP registration, Real Madrid forwarded the contracts to Manchester United at 13:39 Spanish time.
In the end, the Costa Rican, who opted not to link up with his national squad to finalize the deal, decided that he would love to make the move to English Premier League and work with manager Louis van Gaal.
The two-time United player of the year himself was determined to complete his return to Madrid this summer.
The United board are said to be “relaxed” about the situation.
The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper has been linked with a return to La Liga all summer, and has been left out of all of United’s games so far this season on the back of Real Madrid’s interest in him.
Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion have signed Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard on a two-year deal.
The 24-year-old will become the third player to leave Old Trafford today after Adnan Januzaj completed a season-long loan move to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and Mexican striker Javier Hernandez signed for Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent basis.
News of the potential deal came on a busy day of transfer activity at Old Trafford.
Man Utd set to sign Anthony Martial in deal worth up to £58m].
“I have received offers but I want to stay here and fight for a place because this is a huge club”.
