‘Dead’ woman wakes up screaming at funeral home

A 92-year-old woman in Germany was found screaming in a funeral home’s refrigerated room after she had been declared dead.

The incident occurred last March when the woman was ill and her caregiver found her unresponsive with no vitals.

But the diagnosis proved inaccurate when she awoke inside the funeral home later that day. According to the doctor, the woman was no longer breathing and there was no pulse present.

This isn’t the first time someone has been declared dead and woken up hours later.

It was at the funeral home that an employee allegedly heard screaming coming from the refrigeration room. Juergen declared that the man could be penalized with a fine or appropriate prison time if proven guilty, said on the Telegraph United Kingdom.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, something similar happened in Poland past year.

“An undertaker who opened the cold storage facility to bring in another body was shocked to find movement inside the bag in which Janina’s body was kept”. It is unknown if she is still alive, or if she has since passed away.

The prosecutor said the woman died two days later in a hospital from heart disease unrelated to the incident.
