Deadlines loom for absentee voters in VA
Attorney General Lisa Madigan and the Illinois State Board of Elections today alerted voters throughout Illinois about the voting by mail process during this fall’s election due to recent complaints raised by confused and concerned voters. To vote in person, voters who reside in Wicomico County can vote before election day at an early voting center in Wicomico County or on election day at the polling place for their residence in Wicomico County.
On Thursday morning, 12 more early voting sites will open across Mecklenburg County.
The general registrars’ offices will be open Saturday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Nov. 5, for voters wishing to cast their absentee ballots in person.
2016 is the first time Coloradans are voting for president by mail.
At 977, Tuesday marked the fewest voters and the first day when less than 1,000 voted.

Registered Democrats have jumped ahead of regiestered Republicans by more than 100,000 votes in the Tar Heel State so far, as thousands of voters cast ballots over the weekend. Changes in state law due to lawsuits challenging Wisconsin’s strict voter ID made it easier for people who can not get an ID because they are missing required documentation. At the local board of elections, the ballot is fed into a scanner which reads and tabulates the selections made by voters. The Clerk’s office increased the number of designated Early Voting sites for suburban Cook County voters to 52 for the Presidential Election, up from 44 in the March Primary. These drop-off locations are not early voting locations, but for mail ballots only.
Voters who apply for absentee ballots close to the November 1 deadline will be cutting it close, Crispell said.
Voters encountering sudden emergencies, such as the last-minute scheduling of major surgery or an out-of-town work assignment, can complete emergency absentee ballot requests November 2 to November 4.
