Deal with dungeons AND dragons in GoG’s big Forgotten Realms game dump
Or are you younger and curious about what came before games like Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights?
GOG and Wizards of the Coast have teamed up to re-release a whole slew of classic Dungeons & Dragons games. Pretty much since the moment video games became a thing there have been people trying to adapt D&D into an electronic experience.
Collection One features Eye of the Beholder, Eye of the Beholder 2, and Eye of the Beholder 3. Collection Three features Dungeon Hack and Menzoberranzan. Speaking to The Escapist about the announcement, Wizards of the Coast communications manager Greg Tito expressed excitement about the opportunity this re-release represents.
If you’re not sure whether you’ll get on with these classics, GOG is streaming some of them over on Twitch so you can check them out.
” It’s wonderful to return to the Forgotten Realms” said Paul Murray, SSI Lead Engineer. “These games excel at recreating the D&D tabletop experience”.
Digital game distribution service GOG has updated its library with a selection of classic Dungeons & Dragons titles.
The Archives gamers now have the chance to live and breathe the history of RPG gaming, in three collections, each containing a set of famous D&D titles and brimming with content. As usual, all of them are available DRM free, with the first two (slightly larger) collections setting you back $10 each, while the third is just $5. The sale promo ends on August 25.
