DeAndre Hopkins starts game vs. Chargers with absurd hot potato catch
We asked some of the staff writers here at Bolt Beat for their opinion on this game, and they each gave us their predictions. On the other hand, Houston has found ways to win despite not having many big plays.
The best shot the Chargers have at winning this game is if the Texans get lost on the way to the stadium and with this being a home game, that is not likely to happen. For one half, quarterback Philip Rivers produced an effort in line with those needs.
If the Texans can get through the Chargers and the Packers, then they will face the Indianapolis Colts – yet another team that has struggled at points this season, and so a very winnable game for Houston.
“I need to play better for us to win”, he said. A loss by Houston could lose their sole first place ownership, but a loss by San Diego would likely force them out of any playoff chances.
Stopping Melvin Gordon – The best way to defeat the Chargers is arguably by stopping the running game, and in particular their star running back Gordon. The defense limited San Diego to 67 yards rushing and 4-of-11 on third down (36%). – After putting in such a good performance against Oakland, some late game frailties came to the fore last Monday night. You heard that right, the 28th ranked PASS defense dared the Texans to throw the ball on them. Brock Oswelier. I haven’t seen anything that scares me out of this offense.
Here’s a suggestion. Try throwing a screen pass to Lamar Miller. I think the Chargers do enough to win. Have thoughts on how the Texans and Chargers are performing?

As a pick em game, this one is extremely interesting. The Chargers’ previous excursion to the Lone Star State resulted in a 29-23 triumph in 2010.
“The thing about coach O’Brien, this system is very hard and, as you guys see week in and week out”. Tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz has made a touchdown catch in each of his last three home games while rookie wideout Braxton Miller made his first TD reception in last week’s loss.
