DeAndre Levy still out with hip injury – not a Chilean parasite
We’ll see if the Lions are comfortable enough with his play over the last few weeks of practice to insert him into the starting lineup on Sunday. Brandon Pettigrew is dealing with a hamstring strain suffered during Week 1 and is out for Week 2 against the Viking – it seems likely that the Lions will play newly acquired Tim Wright at Tight End along with Ebron.
The U of M will offer free shuttle buses every 15 minutes to bring fans from the fairgrounds to TCF Bank Stadium beginning three hours prior to the kickoff.
Even though DeAndre Levy has not practiced since August . 25, he has not been ruled out.
Jim Caldwell has been consistent about refusing to address rumors and reports about his players.
Caldwell was also asked if there was a concern Levy would miss the season and he grew agitated.
When asked if Levy had anything else beside hip injury, Caldwell said, “If we had something of that nature, it would be on the report”. That’s the one thing I think that we don’t underestimate is they got speed on the outside. Anybody who is listed on our report, anything can happen, OK.
Levy went on a vacation to Chile in the offseason.
Caldwell has kept his injury news behind an iron curtain since the season started, and he said he doesn’t plan to change that policy. Instead he has been given the doubtful designation on Fridays injury report. “I haven’t seen too many coaches that give great detailed information in terms of accurate information on different issues that pop up with players”. But Levy’s agent, Joe Panos, told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network that the rumors aren’t true. He was limited, according to the team’s injury report.
The Lions decided to keep Levy on their 53-man roster at the end of training camp rather than use the injured reserve-designated for return spot, because they believed Levy would return to the field in a matter of weeks.
