DeAngelo Williams can’t wear pink all season, National Football League says
In addition to the Pink Power speaking tour, Vidant Health is sponsoring other activities in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
But outside of what the league allows, players don’t have much say about what they wear to promote breast cancer awareness. Use the hashtag #WHEREDOYOUDOIT on social media to join the conversation and share where you do it. In fact, one in eight women in the United Kingdom will develop breast cancer at a few time in their lifetime. She says 85-percent of women who get diagnosed do not have a family member with the disease.
“I noticed a few bloody discharge out of my breast”, said Ashman, “and being a guy, you sort of disregard it, because, that’s not something that you would normally think of”.
And while the National Football League covers equipment and merchandise in a hot, magenta pink every October (and only for October), purportedly to raise money for breast cancer research, they’ve come under fire recently about how much of that money actually goes towards cancer research-and how much goes straight back to the NFL.
Dr. Adesunloye began by talking about the different types of breast cancer screenings available.
Several of her friends are battling or have lived through breast cancer, and she wanted to give back. This year alone, more than 230,000 women are expected to be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer; about 60,000 will be diagnosed with non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. This is just one more step that I felt we could take on our way to creating a healthier Kentucky. So it comes as no surprise that the issue of breast cancer awareness is very near and dear to his heart. “He wasn’t able to do that, but what he did do is, he made a decision to streak his hair pink”.
“We all work together as a team to make sure the needs are met for a better quality of life”, said Pamela James, NP.
