Death toll of M’sians in Bangkok blast rises to four
Two Malaysians are feared to be among the victims in Bangkok blast incident, according to Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand, Datuk Nazirah Hussain.
“We would like to convey our deepest condolences and sympathy to the victims and their families”, it said.
Tan Rui Hun is now admitted to Hua Chiew Hospital to receive further treatment, while Tan Kim Siok was discharged earlier after receiving treatment. “The result will be out tomorrow”, said Ms Lim’s relative Khaw Wi Kai, 33, at the Police General Hospital’s forensic wing in Bangkok on Tuesday.
A total 123 people were injured while at least 21 were killed in the incident in central Bangkok.
According to a Wisma Putra statement, their remains have been placed at the Police General Hospital in Bangkok, pending post-mortem.
The four Malaysians who are confirmed dead are Mr Lee Tze Siang and his daughter Lee Jing Xuan, as well as Ms Lim Saw Gek and her son Neoh Jai Jun.
The blast occurred at around 7pm local time (8pm Malaysian time), Thai police said.
More than a 100 were injured as the blast left body parts strewn across crushed pavement, alongside shattered windows and incinerated motorcycles.
Su See is the sister of Lim Saw Sek, 49, one of the four people confirmed killed by the suspected terror blast.
