Decker, Revis, Ivory Questionnable for Sunday
New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis (24) celebrates an interception with defensive back Buster Skrine (41) and free safety Calvin Pryor (25) in the second half of an NFL football game against the Indianapolis Colts in Indianapolis, Monday, September 21, 2015.
Revis is encouraged by the fact the injury has improved since the beginning of the week, and coach Todd Bowles is hopeful Revis will be ready to play.
Revis said that the injury is getting better, not worse.
It’s possible Revis was given somewhat of a day of rest with the Jets on a short week, although if that was the official reason, Revis would be listed as having not practiced because of “not injury-related” reasons.
FLORHAM PARK, N.J.-New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis sat out practice with a groin injury, and his status for the team’s game against Philadelphia on Sunday is uncertain.
On if Revis had an MRI, Bowles said, “He didn’t have an MRI or anything”.

The coach wasn’t quite as positive about two other frontliners who didn’t participate in team drills today: WR Eric Decker with his injured knee and RB Chris Ivory with his quadriceps.
Bowles said of if he has a sense that Decker will play, “Not yet, he hasn’t done anything”.
Decker, meanwhile, wants to play if safe, considering he dealt with a lingering hamstring injury for much of last season. Bowles said there’s a chance Smith could be active Sunday to serve as Ryan Fitzpatrick’s backup, but it would depend on whether Smith or rookie Bryce Petty had the better practice week. “I’m day to day. We’ll see how it pans out, how it goes with practice, and then we’ll see what happens Sunday”. While Bowles seemed like a good option to pick from the pool of potential candidates, the Jets had problems with their offensive system and personnel: things you don’t expect a defensive-minded coach to cure.
