Dee Delvin sends UFC fighter boyfriend Conor McGregor a special birthday
UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo spoke with radio show Rock Bola following a soccer match in Rio de Janeiro over the weekend and claimed that he’s coming for Conor McGregor following his big win at UFC 189. What we do know is that Shaquille O’Neal was jacked up that McGregor won and not once, but twice tweeted “Shiver me timbers” in a way that strongly suggested he thought it was some kind of Irish rallying cry.
McGregor stopped Chad Mendes in impressive fashion at Saturday’s event, but not until after he spent a good portion of the fight, dealing with the decorated wrestler’s top game. “The belt rightfully should be stripped and this is for the real featherweight belt”.
McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh featured on Tuesday’s MMA Hour, revealing Conor had injured his knee during a training session, which restricted his ability to train in the lead up to the fight. But I kept reading about the big-mouthed brawler from Ireland who had a shot at a title, and as much as I hate to admit it, it drew my interest. Taking a fight on short notice like that and Conor capitalized. We weren’t able to train at full pace.
“He was able to deal with all positions, there were some scrambles, there was a lot of wrestling and it held up and there’s nothing wrong. So we’re 100 percent confident that it’s flawless now”.
“On Sunday night we all went out”. McGregor showed a ton of heart and toughness in the fight, as well as his awe inspiring striking.
“I think his timing on the sprawl wasn’t quite there”.
Go back and watch all the joy and disappointment from UFC 189, which many are calling the greatest fight card in UFC history. “Yes, for both of them”. “He’s a juice-head p*ssy”, McGregor said, with the juice-head he was referring to being Jose Aldo – McGregor’s original opponent who withdraw from the fight three weeks beforehand due to a dubious rib injury.
“You’ve got to give it to him; the guy didn’t stop talking (expletive) the entire time”, said Mendes during the event’s post-fight press conference.
