Deleted Clinton Emails Recovered By the Federal Bureau of Investigation
CNN’s Don Lemon asked Clinton earlier Wednesday during a radio interview whether she started “the whole birther thing.”
“I’m disappointed, but not surprised, by Hillary Clinton’s stated opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline”.
The State Department is at the center of the debate over the pipeline because it would cross the U.S.-Canada border and therefore needs a presidential permit to proceed (see Shale Daily, April 21, 2014; March 4, 2013).
Speaking to the Des Moines Register editorial board Tuesday, Clinton publicly stated for the first time that her server had not been compromised by a foreign entity, and that her private IT company assured her this was the case.
Grassley also called on the Federal Bureau of Investigation to provide clarity on how it will handle the emails now that they have been recovered from the server.
Grassley wants more information from the DOJ so he can consider the possibility of offering immunity to Clinton aide Bryan Pagliano, who managed Clinton’s personal server that contained classified emails, in exchange for his testimony. State Department spokesman John Kirby also said the agency realized it had “relatively few” of Clinton’s emails while trying to respond to congressional investigators seeking emails related to Benghazi.
More than 6 in 10 voters said they are anxious that scandals would be a problem for a Clinton administration, with 40 percent being “very” concerned and 22 percent “somewhat” concerned.
That is consistent with polls that have shown Clinton has a trust issue with voters.
The Vermont senator has opened up a wide, 16-point lead over Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire, according to a new CNN/WMUR/UNH poll released Thursday night. But months of dishonesty and deception took their toll: A majority of Americans don’t trust her, and the Democratic nomination fight has shifted from a coronation to a competition. Her position in the state has collapsed, despite spending millions in TV advertising there over the summer.
One quarter of Americans who are registered Democrats or lean that way say Vice President Joe Biden is now their top choice for president. But Trump, and others who have made this claim, neglect to mention that there is no direct tie to Clinton or her 2008 campaign.
