Delhi BJP workers stage protest against suspension of MLA Sharma
Following a resolution moved by the AAP MLAs, BJP legislator OP Sharma was expelled from the Assembly for the ongoing session but the ruling party members continued to protest, seeking his immediate arrest and permanent expulsion from the Assembly.
The AAP controls 67 of the 70 Delhi assembly seats.
Before walking out, Lamba reiterated her demand for the revocation of Sharma’s membership of the assembly.

The resolution to suspend Mr Sharma from the entire session was moved by AAP legislator from Najafgarh, Kailash Gehlot.
The nine-member committee oversees the moral and ethical conduct of members and examines complaints relating to unethical conduct of a member referred to it by the House or Speaker.
The assembly on Thursday referred the matter to its Ethics Committee.
BJP workers on Friday carried out protests outside the Delhi assembly against the suspension of party legislator O.P. Sharma for the entire winter session of the Delhi Assembly.
The FIR registered at Adarsh Nagar Police Station in north-west Delhi said that during the altercation, the accused allegedly assaulted the complainant in which he sustained injuries.
