Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal continues attack on CBI, Arun Jaitley

A furious Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi’s chief minister, had on December 15 accused the Modi government of targeting him over a day-long CBI raid at the Delhi Secretariat.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), however, hit back at Kejriwal for his unwarranted criticism of Prime Minister Modi following the CBI raid and alleged that a “nervous” Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo is demeaning the PMO with his baseless allegation. “You apologise to the nation for your misdeeds and I will apologise for my words”, Kejriwal said on Tuesday evening after the BJP attack on him for his strong words against Modi. In July, Delhi bureaucrat Ashish Joshi alleged that Rajender Kumar had indulged in malpractices when he was education secretary in 2007.
The CBI had claimed to have recovered foreign currency worth over Rs 3 lakh and papers of three immovable properties along with Rs 2.4 lakh cash, said sources.
The CBI raid was carried out after a search warrant was issued by the competent courtroom, he stated. “CBI raids my office”, he tweeted. In an apparent reference to the Centre’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Banerjee said her party Trinamool Congress was not like those which use religion to meet political ends.
