Delhi government orders probe into 7-year-olds death by dengue
Delhi is witnessing its biggest outbreak of dengue cases in five years, according to local media reports.

Following the incident, his father and mother, hailing from Jaguleipada under Derabshi block of Kendrapada district in Odisha, committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of a four-storey apartment in Delhi.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “It is completely unacceptable that some hospitals didn’t accept a patient and he died”.
Delhi has witnessed spurt in Dengue cases registering over 600 cases in last one week.

Sisodia, who is also the education minister, asked the schools to allow children to wear full-sleeve clothes of any colour, irrespective of whether it is the school uniform or not, a government statement said.
Eight suspected dengue deaths have been reported this year.
Mr. Kejriwal said tough action will be taken against hospitals that turned away patients citing excuses of many kinds.
New Delhi, The Centre today asked Delhi Government to take strict action against hospitals refusing dengue patients and directed it to rein in private facilities overcharging them, even as another child succumbed to the disease due to alleged negligence of a hospital. “Guilty won’t be spared”, union Health Minister J.P. Nadda said.
As per the corporation’s fresh data released yesterday, 613 cases of dengue have been reported in the last one week till September 12.
The inquiry will also cover the responsibility of hospitals, particularly those concerned with admissions and treatment.
The alarming rise in the number of cases of the vector- borne disease in the capital has also put the civic bodies on their toes, all of which are now further intensifying their awareness-cum-prevention drive. There have been 110 cases of confirmed dengue from this part.
