Delhi witnesses clear Monday, Tuesday morning to be foggy
The Indoreans felt the nip in the air as the city recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 8.4 degree Celsius on Sunday. Churu froze at minus 0.4 degrees, about seven notches below normal, a MeT report said today.
“Shallow to moderate fog is predicted for tomorrow morning”, he said. On Saturday, the minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 11.5 degrees Celsius and 15.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
“The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 18 and 18 degrees Celsius”, said the weatherman.
Srinagar – the summer capital of the State – recorded a low of 2.0 degrees, up by almost three degrees from minus 0.8 degrees the previous night.
On Monday, maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 19 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius respectively.
In Jammu and Kashmir, Leh experienced the coldest night of the season so far as the mercury plunged 12 degrees below freezing point. The day temperature remained the same on Sunday as well but the minimum temp dropped by 1.1 notches further.
Meanwhile, cold wave conditions swept many parts of Haryana and Punjab, with Narnaul turning out to be the coldest place at 2.5 degrees Celsius.
