DeMarco Murray 4th best player, top running back in National Football League | Philadelphia Sun Times
While there are likely to be more Tim Tebow rumors about what his ultimate role with the Philadelphia Eagles is going to be, for now fans can remain hopeful he will get another shot to be a starting quarterback in the league.
For The Win reported that Murray described Tebow as a “good player”.
“A very hardworking guy”, he added.
Sitting in 16 place in the list, it shows just how big of an attraction Tebow is to the game – despite his ups and downs on the field.
For the Philadelphia Eagles, there are different questions being asked even before the season officially begins.
“The beauty about Murray is that he’s an inside and outside guy”, Beason said. “He’s a very smart guy”.
Of course, it seems to come down to a stylistic preference – Murray and Mathews are north-south, one-cut and go runners, while McCoy is more of a shimmy, shake, make-em-miss and then dart upfield for positive yardage kind of back. It should also be an advantage for the team knowing that their top running back is all-in with the coach for the possible decision on who will take the third-string signal caller spot.
A better comparison though might be Ndamukong Suh, since Suh and Tebow both switched teams this offseason.
Murray was the league’s rushing champion and its Offensive Player of the Year in 2014 after gaining 1,845 yards on the ground and 2,261 yards from scrimmage for the Dallas Cowboys. Murray responded with a classy “hope you can taste some of that meat this year”, as reported by SB Nation, which can be deemed as the equivalent of blessing Randle as the new Dallas starter in their position.
