Demi Lovato has “quit” social media
She began with an upfront, “Damn, I gotta quit sayin [sic] shit”.
“But why do people actually give a f** what I say?? like if you don’t care the gtfo haha”, she continued.
I think we all appreciate Demi Lovato in some major capacity and are fans of her songs and message.
Though the singer didn’t say why she was quitting, she followed the all-too-familiar format of the Twitter quit in her exit. Though she never specified in any of the posts, there is a good chance her Twitter/Instagram exit is because of the backlash she received after making a comment on Instagram about Mariah Carey.
Lovato’s move away from Instagram and Twitter might also be a result of an Insta-comment she left last week, which gained lots of attention.
For what it’s worth, Lovato’s Instagram and Twitter accounts remain open-they’ve not been deleted, though Demi seems intent on retiring them. Until then, see you on Snapchat, Demi!
Lovato went on to deride those who’d fixated on the meme drama rather than applauding her charitable work and recent campaign with Be Vocal: Speak Up for Mental Health. “Ari did nothing wrong”.
Her 36.6 million followers got right behind her, with over 50K retweets across the posts. “Mariah is a legend and is so talented but constantly disses people”. “I don’t know her”.
