Demi Lovato Still Has Insecurities About Her Body

The 23-year-old revealed during an interview with Allure that it has only been in the last year that she has gained this level of comfort in her own skin. Later, she adds, “I can’t always let people in as much as they feel like they deserve to be let in”. It’s also a statement, like, ‘Hey, watch out.

As for her latest obsessions, Lovato says she’s been doing her own manis and loving it. “I do my own manicure several times a week”.

“I signed with Disney Channel when I got ‘Camp Rock, ‘ and I had a gap between my two front teeth”, Lovato explained. Not too long ago, every inch of Lovato’s body would be covered up when she was on tour, purposefully trying to hide behind layers. “Now shut up, ‘” she remarked. Well, she didn’t say that explicitly, read between the lines maaaan! “I wish today that I hadn’t, because my gap was really cute”. Now, Lovato is in full bloom and walking her “Confident” talk, empowering women to love themselves and be proud of who they are.

The “Confident” singer is so sure of her body that not only is she willing to wear nothing but underwear for the Allure photoshoot, but she also wanted to share to her fans the untouched photos.

Her new mindset was one of the factors that led to her decision to pose nude for Vanity Fair previous year (15) – and then insist on no digital retouching of the images.

While Demi recently has started to open up about her beau, she likes to keep some things private.
