Democratic candidate Jim Webb mentions killing someone during debate
Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) called cyber warfare “our greatest day-to-day threat” during a round of questions from moderator Anderson Cooper, who asked each candidate to rank the greatest national security threat to the United States. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont), her chief rival for the nomination. I felt that Rubio did well during both Republican debates and I was not surprised to see his campaign get a boost after the debates ended.
Lincoln Chaffee lit up like a second-grader who finally knows an answer in a class and responded, “the coal lobby”. Let us know if you know of another! Did she want to respond? Her purported opponents range from pathetic to weird. “It’s my first day!” Unfortunately for Jim Webb, that article was intended as comedy.
Those were the understandable answers to the question of which enemy the Democratic presidential candidates were most proud to have.
“The enemy soldier that threw the grenade that wounded me, but he’s not around right now to talk to”. For numerous candidates, it was the highest profile debate they had been apart of.
But live-tweeting is truly a democratic pastime and everyday folks, Democrats and Republicans alike, joined in the fun, starting off with commentary on that bearded gent in the debate audience who looked either like Santa or a “Lord of the Rings” wizard. Compare that to the Republicans, who are still squabbling about what they can do about gross homosexual marriages.
Other tech issues that turned up during the over two-hour sparring session in Las Vegas included Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email account while secretary of State and the National Security Agency’s collection of telephone metadata.
“His determination and bold fighting spirit inspired all who observed him and were instrumental in saving the lives of at least two Marines and undoubtedly thwarting the enemy’s plan to launch a major attack against his unit’s night position”, the citation reads. Even they think that’s a bit weird.
This sentence might also get a few liberals’ Spider-sense tingling: “We will work with our North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies to restore stability in Europe, and with our friends in the Middle East, particularly Israel, our most stable partner and friend in the region, to reduce the cycle of violence and turmoil in that part of the world”. One of his more notable lines of the night was when he was asked about the number of times he’s changed political parties.
“Bernie, I don’t think the revolution is going to come and I don’t think the Congress is going to pay for a lot of this stuff”, Webb said.
So, that’s kind of shitty.

TIME pointed out that Webb is the only combat veteran now in the 2016 presidential race.
Grown-up, reasonable, intelligent? The Democrats may be doomed.
