Democrats, please think it through before voting for Sanders
Hillary Clinton could be elected. “No state in America knows more about the impact of the greed and illegal behavior of Wall Street than the state of Nevada”.
Sen. Patrick Leahy, one of Vermont’s nine superdelegates for this summer’s Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, is steadfast in his support for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton despite strong backing for fellow Sen.
After winning their respective GOP and Democrat primaries, Donald Trump and Sanders now turn their attention to SC, and then the all-important SEC Primary, where seven states – including Georgia – will hold their presidential primaries. Sanders’ momentum is building.
This puts Clinton in an awkward position, as the former Secretary of State recently argued that she was more supportive of the current president’s policies than Sanders. “As people have a chance to listen to him, to have a chance to understand that he’s speaking to the issues that are most critical, as people study and listen to him, I think there’s going to be movement toward his campaign”. The line to attend the rally stretched around the building.
After the Democratic debate on Thursday night in Milwaukee, advocates for Clinton in the spin room had a definite Wisconsin focus and included Baldwin and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
“Even though we vehemently disagree with Senator Sanders on his radical socialist agenda, we stand with his supporters who want their voices to be heard”, the petition said. That includes raising money, identifying and contacting supporters and recruiting volunteers, said Clinton backer and longtime Wisconsin-based political activist Heather Colburn.
However, Review-Journal Columnist Steve Sebelius says polls in the state of Nevada should be taken with a grain of salt. “One of the touchstones of our family – I learned it from my grandparents, I learned it from my parents, and I’ve tried to teach my children – is you keep your word”.
Both Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders spoke at the same predominantly African-American Baptist church in Las Vegas in attempts to win support of black voters ahead of Saturday’s Nevada Democratic caucus. 8 News NOW is still waiting for those dates as well.
