Denver posts back-to-back road wins for first time

The way Nikola Jokic is playing, even his teammates are astonished.

As Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bob Dandridge watched on, with both legends’ banners hanging over the court, the Milwaukee Bucks showed little to no signs of inspiration in a comprehensive loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday.

The Chicago Bulls played extremely well early in this game. Portis scored 12 points, pulled down six rebounds and had three steals.

Khris Middleton led Milwaukee with 21 points off the bench. “This is growing pains”.

Once Denver’s 31-point cushion was significantly trimmed, the Nuggets could no longer rest their starters. Wilson Chandler chipped in with 20 points. The possession above is a great example of what Denver head coach Michael Malone means when he says, “passing is contagious”.

Jokic is Denver’s catalyst, but once he gets going, his mindset seeps into the thoughts of most of the players up and down the Nuggets’ roster. The Nuggets held Giannis Antetokounmpo, who averaged 23.3 points per game in February to just 15.

Gary Harris and Will Barton each scored 15 points for Denver. Nelson remained at the team hotel. NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was honored at halftime for receiving the Presidential Medal of Honor …

They made eight passes in 18 seconds. Unfortunately, the Nuggets would rip off a 13-4 run over the last three minutes of the quarter thanks to an assortment of freethrows on consecutive possessions, and the Bulls simply couldn’t keep pace with the scoring in that stretch.
