Derek Jeter Sued By Underwear Brand Fronted By 50 Cent
The Wolverines defeated the Cougars 31-0. The suit claimed that Jeter reneged on his agreement after he learned of 50 Cent’s involvement, feeling it made the company too “urban”.
“Wow, guess I’m not a Yankees fan anymore”, 50 Cent said.
Retired NY Yankees superstar Derek Jeter is being sued by an underwear company for backing out of a deal to help promote it.
Jeter signed on for a three-year stint as director of the company and just as it was prepping to bring its brand to America, 50 Cent was brought in to be the brand ambassador, much to Jeter’s chagrin.
“But things went south in 2013 – first, Jeter allegedly told Frigo he didn’t want his involvement with the company to be public during the US launch”, added TMZ. Frigo then named 50 Cent as its brand ambassador.
Jeter was supposed to be involved with a company in Sweden called Frigo; a company who designs underwear made for comfort, but the company is now filing a lawsuit against the 41-year-old because he backed out over the companies decision to use musician/rapper 50 Cent, according to TMZ Sports.
Frigo is seeking $4.7 million from Jeter for the value it lost when he departed.
The brand also counts former Giants kicker Steve Weatherford, hip-hop producer Timbaland and Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony as devotees.
Jeter’s representative refused to comment on the lawsuit as per Toronto Sunday. PageSix said that after the engagement, the stunning model showed off her engagement ring last Monday when she walked along Fifth Avenue with her mother.
