‘Deshdrohi’ Azam Khan must be sacked immediately: Shiv Sena
BJP today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seized of the Dadri lynching incident and should not be judged by “what he writes or doesn’t write on social media” as he is a “sensitive” person and would not be found wanting.
“Throughout the years, this civilisation celebrated diversity, promoted and advocated tolerance”, said Mukherjee, a constitutional figurehead with a largely ceremonial role.
Meanwhile, UP government has sent its report to the Union Home Ministry on the Dadri lynching episode, in which 50-year- old Iqlakh was attacked by a mob following rumours that his family had consumed beef. The Home Secretary also briefed the PMO on the report submitted to it by the Uttar Pradesh government. Sakshi Maharaj, infamous for his vitriolic statements in the past, has said that if the holy mother (cow) is killed by anyone, “we will either die or kill the mothers of such people”. “It seems that Azam Khan is a mentally retarded man. Dadri lies within boundaries of UP”.
While the report’s contents were not made public, sources said, the report details how the incident panned out after announcements made from a loudspeaker in a nearby temple that Mohammed Akhlaq and his family were consuming beef and had even stocked it.
It further said the country expects Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to shunt him out.”Azam Khan’s letter to the UN is disservice to the nation”.
“We have the names of the three leaders in our report and have also advised legal action against them for violating Section 144 which was in force in the village…”
Asserting that the Dadri incident is no less than the demolition of Babri Masjid in 1992, Khan had said that the RSS and the BJP have declared that they will create “Hindu Rashtra”. The cruel mindset of Hindutva was once again reflected in Bisara village of Dadri in western Uttar Pradesh just 50 Kms away from New Delhi.
Eleven states – including Uttar Pradesh – and two union territories (federally-administered regions) in India ban slaughter of cows, calves, bulls and bullocks.
Mr Akhlaq’s 22-year-old son was also seriously injured in the attack, and has been admitted to a hospital.
