Destiny 2 Beta’s Heavy Ammo Shortage Will Be Fixed When Game Launches
If you can’t wait for the open beta to start on Thursday, the simplest way to get in is to pre-order the game.
Unlike the one for the first Destiny, the beta will not include any open world patrols but at 6pm on Sunday you will have a brief chance to try out The Farm social area.
Destiny 2’s beta has a big glitch which gives players an infinite super for the duration of its Inverted Spire strike. While Bungie is developing a PC version this time around it has taken a bit of a back seat.
While the beta is purposely lean, you can get a pretty good handle on the game’s three character classes if you optimize your time properly. Fight alongside your friends, or matchmake with other players.
To use the nine digit key to unlock the game, players will have to head to the Code Redemption page, either through the “Destiny 2” beta website or through this link. Meanwhile, the armor perks will allow you to build your Titan for speed, damage absorption, or health recovery versus the sub-class perk tree.
Titans get the Sentinel Subclass which is probably best described as a space Captain America.
And finally, Warlocks gain the ability to rain down fiery death on their opponents with the Dawnblade subclass.
The open Beta for Destiny 2 will launch for PS4 and Xbox One come July 21st through the 23rd.
Destiny 2 will have some great set pieces. This is where you’ll find your Shotguns, Snipers, Grenade Launchers, Rocket Launches and more. The four versus four mode sees teams fighting for control over three flags, with more points being rewarded for each kill depending on how many flags you hold. In fairness, Destiny 2 isn’t trying to re-invent the wheel or anything.
If you thought the linearity and predictability was limited to Homecoming, you’re mistaken.
The team also considered “carry culture” to be a real important part of the game, for players that were having difficulty getting through it.
After that, the beta offers two types of Crucible PvP multiplayer.
Quickplay: This is exclusively the “Control” gametype on the new “Endless Vale” map. You can also play the Control mode from Destiny 2.
Pro tip: If you use Gmail, you can just add “+[country]” at the end of your own email address. Taking out the enemy will win you the round, as will completing your objective.
It should be mentioned that, at least in the Destiny 2 beta, the modifications do not contemplate exotic armament and it is expected that this will remain the same once the game is released.
You should also be advised of the storage requirements.
