Destiny’s Iron Banner Returns on December 29 with New Rewards
Now, with the year closing in, what of the future of “Destiny”?
A number of Bungie developers who worked on Sparrow Racing League (and others) will take part in the event, the developer said without naming any names. Anyway, so far it’s just par for the course for Destiny and Bungie but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear more as well as when/if it pops up on the Xbox Marketplace. This helped new players quickly move through the old content to get to the good stuff.
“The first of these early 2016 experiences will be on a scale close to Festival of the Lost”. If throwing fiery hammers, shooting void arrows, or frying enemies with finger lightning sounds good, you might want to hold on to that subclass boost until you do The Taken King mission that unlocks your third specialization.
The industry follower also guessed that Osborne was hinting at Sparrow Racing League’s continuation, subject to player and fan feedback. “There’s also another significant update to the world and sandbox planned in this same window”. But it’ll be even easier to earn rewards this week because DeeJ says anyone who makes the Top Three in a dev race will earn Destiny: The Taken King’s latest unique emblem. “Last year, we all waited five months and 10 days between content drops after December”. However, it seems that Bungie’s plans have changed, as the boosts released today fundamentally change how a new player might start a character. Here’s your spoiler-free Destiny catch-up so you can jump straight into The Taken King: you’re raised from the dead by a perky robot voiced by Nolan North, fight The Darkness for a while, and then a stranger gives you her gun.
