Destiny: The Taken King Has More Weapons Than the Vanilla Game
The Taken King is out on September 15th.
Reported by Express Co.UK, the 2.0 Update for Destiny is set to pave the launching of the game’s next big expansion and fine tune exotic weapons which reportedly include Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Scout Rifles, Hand Cannons, Shotguns, Fusion Rifles, Sniper Rifles and Rocket Launchers as well as weapon stats. Omolon’s guns will likely offer some surprise features in exchange for more practical shooting, and seem like they’re geared at folks who are more interested in having fun while they’re shooting than racking up a kill count.
Check out the Weekly Update here – there’s descriptions of the new weapons being released, as well as a few sweet pictures!
The news coming from Bungie seems to point to a massive overhaul in weaponry, meaning fans of the epic space shooter might have to get ready to tinker with their own tactics in the Crucible. There’s a bit of history available for each gun developer, as well as information on their philosophies and design choices. Classes will have their own guns. Even the Gunsmith will have a new way to include you in his enterprise. However, the PS4 is not the new version announced but the older model with 500GB hard drive. “More Quests will lead you directly to specific guns”, Dague wrote.
Recently, Bungie added a new community manager to their ranks, one Chris “Cozmo23” Shannon. This is happening this weekend only, so you might want to clear your schedule.
Bungie has revealed the bonus content you get for pre-ordering Destiny’s third expansion, quieting the rumors that it was supposedly a GameStop exclusive. “Please remember that this is not a To-Do List for Bungie. Our goal here is to confirm that your feedback has been received”. “We’re going to keep adding new stuff for you to do and I’d hope you’ll look at The Taken King and be like, ‘I’m looking forward to logging on again and hooking friends online.'”.
