Destiny: The Taken King raid hard mode unlocks next week
This week at Bungie we’re talking about your rematch with Oryx, the return of Trials of Osiris, and (you guessed it) we’re talking about Shadowshot.
DeeJ’s post, which can be found on Bungie.net, was intentionally vague in describing why a hotfix was incoming, but Guardians who have been participating in Destiny’s Iron Banner event are well aware of the problem.
What you’re seeing are remnant files for Three of Coins or Moldering Shard like items that would have been available from Xûr.
In Year 2, we took steps to streamline and simplify the economy for players, with hopes that providing more direct paths to gear and the stuff you needed to upgrade that gear would just be more satisfying across the board.
Destiny players looking for a bigger challenge should look forward to October 23 when Bungie will be releasing the hard mode for the King’s Fall raid which shipped with Destiny’s newest expansion, The Taken King.
Expect this to extend to Trials of Osiris once it’s alive. As such, Bungie will be delaying the event until they can disable the bug, which they are working to do as soon as possible. As soon as we have a solid commitment for Brother Vance, we’ll make a formal announcement on when Trial of Osiris will begin again.
In the official post on Bungie’s blog, they recommended that if you’re tackling the Hard Mode you’ll want Light between 300 and 320.
Bungie also confirmed that the loot, which will come with the King’s Fall Raid, will be 310 to 320.
While the early release of the hard mode for King’s Fall is good news for Destiny players, it comes along with bad news.
Bungie also said that it is now reviewing another subclass, namely the Titan’s Sunbreaker, as players have cited concerns that it is overpowered.
