Destiny: The Taken King to Feature Event Updates Rather Than ‘Monolithic DLC
The team hoped to enhance what had gone right with the original game and improve on the things the original failed at. “We’re taking it one step at a time”, he said.
Don’t expect any “giant, monolithic” expansion packs for Destiny for this year, developer Bungie has stated.
Bungie is in an interesting place with Destiny and its development. These tiny purchases are called micro-transactions.

“There’s lots of different reasons as to why-I don’t know how deep I can get into that”, Carroll said. Some of these balance adjustments are welcomed, but many of Bungie’s “fixes” are controversial.
There are also rumors that Bungie is using most of its resources to work on Destiny 2, which could be out on the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft as soon as the autumn of 2016.
