Destiny TTK: Three of Coins Receives the Nerf Hammer

Bungie has sought to eradicate an early exploit in Destiny: The Taken King that allowed players to easily farm Exotic Engrams.

But it’s the change to the Three of Coins that should be the most impactful part of the update. “Three of Coins is a consumable that increases the drop rate of an exotic engram upon executive ultra boss kills”. Would this week give us a better understanding of how Xur works in Destiny Year 2, or would he draw out more questions?

For armor this week, Xur has a set of familiar exotics, albeit with Year 2 defense power, and one new Taken King item.

For those wondering where Xur – Agent of the Nine is right now, he’s at the hangar portion of the Tower. Those who like the hand cannon as their primary will be happy to know that the Hawkmoon Exotic can be purchased now for 23 unusual Coins.

The hotfix, according to Attack of the Fan Boy, has tackled several glitches within the game, taking the new patch as their first post-launch fix after it was released. Perhaps it’s even worth picking up multiples for Infusion fuel, especially for players who have yet to eclipse 280 in Light Level.

Last Friday, when Xur was in the Tower he sold the item which increased the odds of an Exotic Engram dropping on the battlefield.

When used with more time between kills, they remain as effective as before.
