Details of Tom Brady’s potential lawsuit against National Football League; Patriots QB could
Brady appealed the NFL’s punishment on June 23, and reports have circulated that Goodell will soon reach his decision on if the suspension will stand, be reduced or be cleared.
Edelman has been one of Brady’s staunchest supporters, and in the immediate aftermath of the Patriots Super Bowl victory last February, he told an embraced Brady, “you’re the greatest quarterback on the planet, man”. The fate of Tom Brady’s four-game suspension is still up in the air, but Harrison told the MMQB’s Jenny Vrentas that “this is the best thing that could have happened to Tom Brady”. He will be supremely motivated this year. “With his family, he’s had me over for Thanksgiving and he’s the type of guy you want in the locker room, so I wish him and his family the best”.
Harrison could have some merit toward his prediction.
“I’m not really thinking about that right now”, he said. “You go out in spring and you get to play touch football nearly with the helmets on, then you get to strap up now and mold your team”.
“This will rejuvenate him”.
Brady will likely learn when he will return to the field for the 2015 season on Friday, when Goodell is expected to announce his decision on the suspension. I know him. I know how he thinks.
Brady’s legal team called as witnesses NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent, who issued Brady’s four-game ban, and Ted Wells, the league’s lead investigator in the scandal. His agent, Don Yee, was very vocal for a time, and the players association has not wavered on its opinions of the league and how it doles out discipline.
Hmmmph. How did I miss the details of Brady’s suit?
