Detective Pikachu Finally Coming to the West This March
Detective Pikachu will arrive on March 23rd, 2018, and will arrive for the Nintendo 3DS.
Nintendo will release the New 2DS XL Pikachu Edition in North America on January 26 for $159.99, the company announced.
Check out the Detective Pikachu trailer below. The two team up and start solving mysteries together using reasoning and logic, while looking for Tim’s missing father, Harry Goodman. There’s also a joke about how an intelligent Pikachu likely wouldn’t take being ordered around by a trainer very well, and who knows what other jokes will be had at his expense.
This game actually ties into the upcoming live-action Pokemon film as the movie is based off the game. The title is notable since Pikachu can speak English, and he’s apparently both “gruff” and “coffee-drinking”. The game’s set to receive a physical and digital release March 23, 2018, and it’s about time that it finally finds a home. The app will send you a smartphone notification as soon as the Detective Pikachu amiibo is in stock or available for pre-order online. Anyone who has been to a big music festival, sports game, convention, or anything else knows just how hard even sending a text message can be when you suddenly cram tens of thousands (or more) additional cell phones on the single nearby tower. We choose you to share your thoughts in the comment section below! The game will also see a re-release in Japan on that date.
A new amiibo will release alongside Detective Pikachu, and it stands head-and-shoulders above other amiibo.
The Nintendo news continues after the little event yesterday.
