Detroit Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy to make season debut Sunday
He wore the same cleats in the preseason, and was not fined for them then. He’s been dealing with a nagging hip injury all season.
“They’re going to the game again”, he said.
Stafford received a letter from the league telling him he violated a certain uniform code number but it didnt explain the problem.
Stafford wore blue Nike cleats in Monday night’s game that he said were the same as ones that both Ndamukong Suh and Reggie Bush wore at times past year.
You may remember the officials blew a call late in the game which would have given the Lions a chance to win.
Unfortunately for Caldwell, Matt Stafford’s wife, Kelly, doesn’t fall under his jurisdiction and she has spoken, well texted, her mind on the situation.
The timing of the fine for the cleats was not the best for the quarterback.
After missing most of training camp and the first four games of the season, Detroit Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy will make his debut Sunday afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals.
Levy was injured in practice on August 24, and only began practicing last week, and they’re hoping for an immediate impact.
He practiced at full speed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Levy is one of the best coverage linebackers in the National Football League and is also Detroit’s top defensive player.
“Obviously anytime you have a guy that has the kind of experience that he’s had, and the fine play he’s had through the years, that’s certainly a huge difference”, Caldwell said. Every year is different but he adds a boost to us Caldwell said. “Against the run and the pass, he’s a factor”.
