Deus Ex: Human Revolution may become Backwards Compatible on Xbox One
If Human Revolution is coming to Xbox One via BC, we will let you know, so stay tuned. Their answer? They’re working on it, and hope to have good news soon.
A fan asked the Deus Ex team on Twitter if they were considering making Human Revolution a backwards compatible title. The game is not yet part of Xbox One’s backwards compatibility initiative but at E3 when Xbox boss Phil Spencer made the announcement, he said all that was needed to start the process was the consent of a game’s developers and publishers.
If you don’t see a game on this list that you’d like to see, Microsoft also has a poll up asking gamers what games should become backwards compatible.
Meanwhile, the game’s successor Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is in development and is on track for a February 2016 release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. But now the new feature is in place and there are a variety of Xbox 360 games available on the new console. Square Enix is willing to make it happen, so hopefully the game does not have any problems being compatible. Only preview members have access to backwards compatibility right now.
Xbox One backwards compatibility will launch this holiday season with the next big Xbox One firmware update.
Microsoft promises that more backwards compatibility games will come soon.
