DiCaprio, The Revenant and The Martian big winners at Golden Globes
With The Revenant coming out on top of this year’s awards, it’s an incredibly strong sign DiCaprio’s about to sail through to that dearly coveted Academy Award.

All eyes in Hollywood are now on the Oscar nominations, to be announced on Thursday, to see if the “Titanic” star scores his fifth nomination for an acting role as widely expected.
Leonardo DiCaprio did more than just survive a bear mauling in “The Revenant”.
Oscar Isaac was awarded Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for his performance in Show Me a Hero.
During his opening monologue, the British comic said: “If you do win, no one cares about the award more than you do”. Six shows come in tied for the most nominations with three: “Fargo”, “Mr. Robot”, “Outlander”, “Transparent”, “American Crime” and “Wolf Hall”.
Though security was especially tight to guard against terrorism, the Gervais-led Globes, evidenced little of seriousness that marks most award shows, or the teary-eyed acceptances speeches. Actors in both shows – Christian Slater for Mr. Robot and Gabriel Garcia Bernal for Mozart in the Jungle – also won.
What if a network aired an awards show and you couldn’t hear half of it?
