DICE 2016: Bethesda Working on 3 New Projects
In the 19 DICE award functions, not only did Fallout 4 win the Game of the Year, but it also took home several trophies, including the ones for outstanding achievement in game direction and as a role-playing game of the year.
Todd Howard, director and executive producer at Bethesda, the publisher behind Fallout 4, Skyrim and DOOM has announced that the company is working hard on three incredible new (unannounced) projects, which could be fleshed out more during this year’s E3.
The DICE Sprite Award, outstanding achievement on online gameplay, and sports game of the year awards were won by “Rocket League” developed by Psyonix.
It was noted that more than 100 people were on the Fallout 4 team and once the DLC and Creation Kit had been pushed through, there would be more discussion on the new projects.
Ori and the Blind Forest, one of the most handsome and surreal games to be released a year ago, deservedly walked away with awards for outstanding achievement in animation, art direction and original music composition. It did, however, deserve the award it received for outstanding achievement in sound design. However, as International Business Times likes to believe, it could play host to something about “The Elder Scrolls Legends” and how the game might arrive. Interestingly, the mobile version of the Fallout series, the Fallout Shelter game, too received an award for being the best Mobile Game of the Year. The gaming industry gathering featured talks from such luminaries as “Metal Gear” creator Kojima, “Rise of the Tomb Raider” writer Rhianna Pratchett and “Civilization” creator Sid Meier.
