Did Aaron Rodgers jab at Russell Wilson’s faith in God?
Seattle’s rushing attack had trouble moving the ball against Green Bay’s tough defense, with running back Marshawn Lynch gaining just 41 yards on 15 carries for a 2.7-yard average.
I picked the Green Bay Packers to win and if my Sunday is any indication, not only will Seattle destroy them, but Aaron Rodgers’ entire right arm will fall off and roll into the nearest sewer. He played some in the slot last week, and there was talked he would follow Packers WR Randall Cobb inside.
Next up for the Packers, a home game against the Kansas City Chiefs, next Monday night at Lambeau Field. No need to start panicking now.
COACHING: C – The running game was non-existent in the first half.
Rodgers, a Christian like Wilson, enjoyed a miraculous fourth quarter by going 9 for 9 for 91 yards to bring the Packers back from a 17-16 deficit and send the Seahawks to 0-2. So far, fans seem to sense that Rodgers made the comment in jest and intended no ill will toward Wilson. What happened instead was much worse. Green Bay took possession at Seattle’s 44 but couldn’t get a first down and settled for a 54-yard field goal by kicker Mason Crosby. And [Seahawks tackle]Justin Britt handed it to the official. In the blink of an eye, Jayrone Elliot had intercepted Russell Wilson and then, because he’s a linebacker, not a wide receiver, fumbled the ball because he was holding with the nonchalance of someone carrying in their morning newspaper. Baldwin runs a great route with a sneaky jab step to mimic a flag, before cutting back over the middle with a post route.
The Seahawks didn’t acquire Graham to use him as a decoy. Said lead wouldn’t last, but at the time, it was a lead-grabbing and familiar looking touchdown. “Whatever the circumstances were that led up to the finish, let’s finish the thing and get out of there”.
Michael Bennett is one of the very best defensive linemen in the NFL.
The juggled secondary had a major challenge facing four-time Pro Bowler Aaron Rodgers.
There is also the worry of tight end Jimmy Graham struggling to work into Seattle’s offense. “If you give him a chance, he is going to take advantage of it”.
Either way, it’s nearly refreshing to see two of the game’s best players be so willing to send shots the other’s way.
