Selena Gomez was one of the first to arrive on the red carpet and turned heads in a ruby-red halter dress with a sexy slit and flashy sequins.

Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas split earlier this month, and the pair wasted no time showing off new post-breakup looks on the red carpet at Sunday’s American Music Awards. But before you get too excited, it may, in fact, be a cleverly styled faux bob. It definitely looks like her real hair – but models who make major money off their hair don’t cut it lightly. Think about what Taylor’s lob meant for her career – it came right as she was transitioning into pop superstardom; her long, blonde curls were inextricably tied to her country image.

“There’s going to be a lot of good fashion on the red carpet”, she added.
