Director reveals Star Trek 3 title

At least if director Justin Lin’s latest tweet – in which he refers to the film as Star Trek Beyond – is anything to go by. Check out the tweet!

And the official title for the next Star Trek feature film is….

It’s a title we’ve been hearing about for quite a while, previously mentioned by Simon Pegg in a blog post and rumored when Paramount started registering domains in that name. Abrams handed over the director’s chair to Justin Lin for the third movie of renewed franchise.

The image depicts the “Starfleet: United Federation of Planets” patch.

Nothing has been announced about the plot for this new outing for the U.S.S. Enterprise and her crew, other than some vague talk of exploration and finally getting to see Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk and co. head out into deep space to truly explore unusual new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly…

Star Trek Beyond is set for release on 8th July 2016 in the USA, with a United Kingdom date yet to be confirmed.
