Disney Infinity Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set and figures revealed
The big question, of course, is what will happen in the new books and how close they’ll take readers to the universe as it exists at the beginning of The Force Awakens.
Thanks to the new pact, customers can also enjoy Sky Movies Disney channel and the latest Disney, DisneyPixar, Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm hits, all in HD and in a few cases 3D. According to Cinema Blend, the thought that Abrams was given the final cut “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens”, which the publication regarded as potentially the most vital film in the series, was quite odd.
Ever since Disney bought the rights for the Star Wars franchise, fans have been concerned about the future of Lucasfilm’s sci-fi saga. Additionally, all-new movie titles and a large selection of classic movie titles will be available to buy and keep, or rent, via Sky Store. We have to learn how the Rebel Alliance became the Resistance, how the Empire morphed into The First Order, and many other things, like who the hell are the Knights of Ren?
The Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set will be available at a suggested retail price of $34.99.
Precious few details about the actual Play Set were made available but Disney Interactive notes that players will be able to “travel to a galaxy far, far away alongside new heroes and old friends in search for a much-needed ally”.
Returning to reprise their roles in “Star Wars: Episode VIII” is Golden Globe Award nominee Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron; Daisy Ridley as Rey; Black Reel Awards nominee John Boyega as Finn; Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford as Han Solo; two-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee Carrie Fisher as Leia; and BAFTA award victor Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. But he did affirm that “they let us make the movie we wanted to make”.
The agreement also means Sky customers will now get more Disney channels and series through catch-up TV and on demand offers.
